Our Vision, Mission & Values

Vision

To live in a world free of human trafficking and modern day slavery; a world in which traffickers cannot operate; a world in which the Sophie Hayes Foundation does not need to exist.

Mission

Our mission at the Sophie Hayes Foundation is to raise awareness about, and support survivors of, human trafficking and modern day slavery. The Sophie Hayes Foundation will support activities raising human trafficking awareness across social, business, governmental and political communities in order to challenge stereotypes, stimulate improved societal response, promote businesses to take responsibility, and ensure human trafficking and modern day slavery remain high on political agenda.  The Sophie Hayes Foundation will support survivors of human trafficking and modern day slavery through career coaching and practical training for future sustainable employment free of Human Trafficking and Exploitation, and by working closely with other institutions and NGO's on similar projects.

Values

The Sophie Hayes Foundation will work openly and transparently with other organisations working against human trafficking and modern day slavery.  Members and volunteers of Sophie Hayes Foundation shall not discriminate on grounds of race, sexual orientation or creed.  Sophie Hayes Foundation takes a human centered approach seeing people who have been trafficked and exploited, and those who are collusive in trafficking and exploitation, as individuals with personal, social and economic histories.  Sophie Hayes Foundation views trafficking and exploitation in both local and global contexts and understands trafficking and modern day slavery are complex phenomena.  Sophie Hayes Foundation endeavors to publish accurate facts and figures where available and supportable estimates where not.
